A selection of case studies from us and our partners
Two Blues Solar and our partner Photon Energy have an established track record in funding, installing and managing solar projects across the UK and overseas. Here is a selection of our projects:
Location: Manchester
System size: 255 kWp
System output: 222,213 kWh
Funding type: Funded PPA
CO2 savings: 48 tCO2/year
EPC: Photon Energy
Ongoing - Two Blues reviewed the client’s current and future potential energy consumption profile and designed an array most suited to their usage. This project is being managed in collaboration with the building’s Landlord and their sustainability priorities, ensuring that all parties are content with the final PV solution.
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
System size: 165 kWp
System output: 137,530 kWh
Funding type: Funded PPA
Year-1 savings: 30 tCO2/year
EPC: Photon Energy
Ongoing - Two Blues worked with the client to assess the best starting point for solar within its portfolio. This system was designed to meet both the expectations of insurers and local regulatory demands regarding new installation sizes. Working with Photon, the system will provide a visible sustainability win for the company and act as a launchpad for further solar rollout.
Location: London
System size: 684 kWp
System output: 590,000 kWh
Funding type: Funded PPA
CO2 savings: 128 tCO2/year
EPC: Photon Energy
Ongoing - Two Blues is working with a commercial landlord to fund a rooftop installation for a large London shopping centre. TBS scoped potential roof space for solar, including utilising disused car-parking areas, before designing a suitable system for the site. The system will connect into the landlord supply, producing significant financial and carbon savings for the site.
Location: Southend
System size: 500 kWp
System output: 454,000 kWh
Funding type: Self-funded
CO2 savings: 234 tCO2/year
EPC: Photon Energy
Completed - Photon completed this rooftop installation during winter conditions as part of an effort to help the newly built business park achieve a 'very good' environmental BREEAM rating. This built on Photon's previous project of 119 kWp at the airport, the largest UK airport solar installation at the time.
Location: Gaydon
System size: 535 kWp
System output: 454,000 kWh
Funding type: Self-funded
CO2 savings: 234 tCO2/year
EPC: Photon Energy
Completed - Photon worked alongside the client's engineering consultants to design and build a large roof-mounted solar PV system for the design centre in Gaydon. Photon installed a large system which satisfied local regulatory requirements as well as the building's loading restrictions.
Location: Basildon
System size: 306 kWp
System output: 226,100 kWh
Funding type: Self-funded
CO2 Savings: 117 tCO2/year
EPC: Photon Energy
Completed - Photon coordinated with the engineering company contracted to build the new Mechanical and Biological Treatment facility, designing a system which met the energy efficiency requirements in the building's planning consent. The system delivers approximately 10% of the electricity requirement on-site.
